Unboxing is not too extravagant but the case hides a variety of accessories. We have a nice hard case with magnetic 🧲 flap that fits the entire set inside along the clip, cleaner and SE 3.5mm to 6.3 adapter for home amps.
This IEM has 2 ear tips sets a 4 pair liquid silicone and 3 pair foam ones.
I love this since they're my favorite types 😁
The cable is slightly memory prone but quite soft with nice connectors and short screw on for 3 terminations.
A huge plus for me is that an adapter with USB C termination is included, made at a 90-degree angle, which allows you to use it with your phone in your pocket.
The faceplates are metal with flowing / melting motive going through the middle.
The shell is acrylic and fully transparent showing the entire build inside with details and looks clear with all ducts visible. The nozzles are an extension of the shell with a proper ear tips lip and one piece filters inside.
Soundwise the BASN BmasterX is a V shaped set with smooth upper transition of lows into lower mids that have some boost later and highs going up 👍 and down 👇 but in all the right places giving high amount of details and proper holographic presentation.
Sound is dynamic and fun flavored with right dynamics and instrument separation.
While the stage shows everything very precisely, which translates nicely into the game in these headphones, unfortunately it is not too large, you could even say it is intimate in some tracks.
LOWs
The bass is pretty tight and fast starting with less energy and keeping higher bump going to the mids. Not overshadowing or getting muddy it has the right impact and springiness. I just wish it would go a bit deeper for my taste.
MIDs
They start pretty low but have a proper bump for clear separate presentation forward along some additional warmth to it in higher registers. I especially like female vocals that get smothered in a bit more shouty tracks.
HIGHs
Well here it gets interesting 🤔 the highs have some valley's and peeks keeping average in the right place but being bit crackling sparkly because of the piezo drivers. I think 💬 it is done 👍 really well showing all the details but might be too bright at times.
CONCLUSION
Small package 📦 hiding 🫣 all the needed accessories along with great cable and we'll made shells all together.
Sound is on the FUN side but BASN make all they could to make it versatile and you will not be disappointed either listening 🎧 music 🎶 watching videos or playing games 🎮.
Good selling point is a practical USB C angled termination that allows it also on all the newer phones 🤳.
For the asking price of 140$ you get the full package ready to go with any device.
All that matters is that I would not recommend it to park BmasterX with brighter sources and to people who are sensitive to treble spike's.
